zonta serviceThe Zonta ideal of service is one of the foundations of Zonta International. There is a two-fold approach to service for Zontians, monetary and personal. The International projects are supported almost exclusively by monetary means while the local projects are supported personally by the giving of an individual’s time as well as financially.

The Status of Women - Service Committee has charge of all local service projects of the club and initiates and develops these service projects in response to community needs.

In 2007 the annual fund distributions were as follows: Kinship Navigator Program ($10,000), Bethany House for the “Move Out” program ($1,580), and Planned Parenthood to purchase HIV/AID testing kits for women ($1,000).

Our club was involved in providing Hospitality Bags for the 2007 World Oncology Camp at YMCA Storer Camps and for the YWCA Battered Women’s Shelter. The bags were sewn by our club members and volunteers, and club members purchased toiletries to fill the bags. Members also donated items needed for the Bethany House “Move Out” program and volunteered time to support Kinship Navigator activities.

International projects are determined by the delegates to the International Convention each biennium. International projects supported by Zonta Club of Toledo I are:
