Membership
Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions, working together to advance the status of women worldwide. Nearly 33,000 members belong to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs.
Zonta International seeks to improve the legal, political, economic, health, educational, and professional status of women through service and advocacy. It works for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of executives in business and the professions. It promotes justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It also seeks to be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, implement service programs, and provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.
Zonta Club of Toledo I is the local chapter of Zonta International. Members include doctors, artists, educators, entrepreneurs, lawyers, government officials and others who work through the Club to promote women’s economic self-sufficiency, political equality, access to education, health, and the elimination of violence against women. Members of Zonta work to improve the lives of women worldwide, to share with other professionals, and to form new friendships.
