Welcome!

We are part of a worldwide Service Organization of executives in business and the professions. Nearly 33,000 members belong to more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 66 countries and geographic areas. Our Toledo I Club was founded in 1921. We have many members who have been in for over 25 years, and a few at 45 years or more. Lifelong friends are made through Zonta.

Why do they stay? They stay and eventually become Emeritus Members because of our good fellowship and worthwhile service projects. Our Zonta International Organization has consultative status with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the Consul of Europe, General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and Operational Relationships with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Membership is by invitation. Our fellowship and our encouragement to each of our members to develop leadership skills by participating in our club, district and international organization insures that we will continue to advance the status of women and children.

Please take a moment to look through the website and be sure and visit our "History" page to learn more about our Toledo Zontian sisters of long ago. For more international information click on our "Zonta International" website link, and for monthly progress, visit our "Events' page. We are proud of our community service and hope that you will take some time to learn more about our endeavors.
